Saturday is for Skinning

A weekend tour in Island Park, Idaho

Story by HONEST LINES March 4th, 2016

GO DOG GO

Who gets out for President’s Day weekend? Anyone?

Apparently that’s a thing, as it’s what we did with some friends this last month. Heading down from Bozeman to a little spot of heaven just south of Island Park, we managed to get kids wrangled, Significant Others appropriately settled in, and gear sorted before heading out for a three hour tour up a nearby slope. The snow was crusty but workable, and the sun came out just long enough to make it feel like spring. The rest of the weekend was spent in an icy wet fog, so we couldn’t have timed it any better. When you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go.
